Hi, I'm Jacqui aka "the Faery Dog Mother" as my friends lovingly call me. Animals are my greatest love and I’ve been so blessed to be god mother as well as auntie to so many dogs, cats and even some horses and donkeys. I specialize in holistic housesitting, aligned with people who value natural living. I am here to lovingly dote on your dogs and creatures and be sure they feel deeply cared for. From hikes and nature frolics to playing ball, belly rubs to cozy cuddles, I strive to create a happy “staycation” for every animal I care for. Your precious pets are furry family and deserve an animal auntie to cherish them while you’re away

I grew up with animals and was always the biggest animal lover in school. This led to years in animal rescue where I worked in marine animal rehabilitation (helping beached animals in Florida), as well as volunteering with dogs. While volunteering at the Humane Society one day I met my soulmate dog Riley who was with me for many years until he passed of old age. I have cared for both small and large dogs, and love to make even the most sensitive dogs feel secure and adored. I've also cared for cats, chickens and donkeys, and as an herbalist I'm great with loving plants and gardens. My vision is to have an animal rescue sanctuary one day and care for all the creatures who need a safe and loving home.

I’ve been a holistic health practitioner for over two decades. These days I teach herbalism and holistic wellness online and work from home with tons of free time to spend with the animals I care for. I’m also a writer, a dancer, a lover of healthy cooking and old world ways of living. I hike daily and spend lots of time outdoors and enjoy traveling the world and leading retreats. Though I’ve been blessed to study wisdom traditions from the Amazon to the ancient sands of Arabia, it is animals that have been my greatest teachers, so generously offering everything they know about unconditional love and joyful presence.

Rates & Booking

I am fully booked until Nov 20 and currently open for booking from Nov 20, 2025 on.

Rates for holistic housesitting in your home for one pet. $25 more for each additional pet.

(5 night minimum)

Nightly: $100

Weekly: $650

Monthly: $2200

Part of what makes me such a great fairy dog mother is my sensitivity that allows me to connect with animals on a deep level and really attune to them. This sensitivity also makes me too sensitive for noisy environments including urban centers, homes on busy roads, or close to train stations. For this reason, my focus is on peaceful places close to nature. Thank you for understanding.

Anyone would be lucky to have Jacqui take care of their home and pets. We typically meet our sitter the day before and go to dinner to get to know them. But our mutual schedules didn't allow this, as we had to leave the day-of, but I was immediately at ease the moment Jaclyn walked in our door! She has such a warm, sweet and bubbly personality.
